The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m.
Sharen thanked Jennifer for her work on the hospitality committee and everyone who brought something for the hospitality table.
Treasurer’s Report: Kay Broderick gave the treasurer’s report. The December balance was $3658.86.

Membership: Dues for the year 2020 should have been paid in January 2020.
Fantastic Beasts of Moccasin Lake: Sharen recognized Jennifer Rothe for the amazing job she did chairing the Safety Harbor Garden Club booth at the Fantastic Beasts festival held at Moccasin Lake on
Saturday, February 1.
Mullet Creek Cleanup: Gisela Bennie discussed the Butterfly Garden clean up that happens twice a year.
The next clean up will be March 2 at 8:30 a.m. Ten to twelve people are needed for about 2 hours. The city usually provides new plants. Carol Smith invited everyone to her home for refreshments after the clean up. Gisela also asked for suggestions for the next Safety Harbor Garden Award.
Josh Newkirk: Garden club member, Josh Newkirk passed away at the beginning of February. Her family donated plants and pots to the club. Notes of condolence will be sent to her family.
Invitation: Ann Ward invited garden club members to her home on March 14 for an after wedding party.
Officers for 2020-2021: Sharen announced the slate of officers for the coming year:

Treasurers: Ann Ward and Linda Howard
Secretary: Karen Isaac
Garden Club Trips: Gary Sawtelle announced that the Recreation Department of Safety Harbor is offering trips to Sunken Gardens, Bok Towers and Selby Gardens. The Rare Plant network is offering a trip to the
Leu Gardens and Master Gardener Plant Sale on March 14.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30.
Program: Leslie introduced our guest speaker Florida Master Gardener, Eoin O’Leary. Eoin’s presentation was on vegetative propagation.
