Welcome Statement:   Jo Clark, President, welcomed all to the meeting and thanks the members for the opportunity to serve as the President for the past year.  This will be our last regular meeting for this 2015/2016 year.
Committee Reports: 
Secretary / Minutes:
The minutes from the last general meeting in January were approved.  All minutes are on the Club website for everyone to see and catch up on what they missed. Thank you to Judith Zaccaria for her expertise in posting the minutes.
Treasurer Report:    
 The current balance is $2,613.90.
Judith reports 78 active  members.  Membership dues of $20 are due before April.  Since there will be no meeting in March due to our trip, please try to pay as soon as possible. Cash or check, please.
The nominating committee (Judith and Gisela) for the 2017/18 Officers announced  Sharen Kuckkahn for  President, Carol DeBoer for Vice President, and Leah Metz for  Recording Secretary.   New officers will be inducted at our picnic in April. It was moved and seconded to approve the new officers.
Jo announced that the May meeting will be held May 24, the 4th Wednesday, at Sheriffs Youth Ranch due to activity conflicts.  Also no meetings to be held there in June or July due to summer youth programs.
Trips:  Pat Gilliland and Kay Broderick are coordinating trips for the Club. People will need to RSVP and plan to attend.  No refunds on paid trips.  Kay discussed the bus trip to Crone’s Cradle up in Citra, south of Gainesville, on Friday, March 31.  This will be in place of our March meeting.  The cost will be $40 and will include a lunch provided by the Preserve. Will be an all-day trip, 8:30 -  6:00 approximately.   Please sign up and pay as soon as possible as we have a bus deadline. Other garden club members have been invited.

New Business:
Our Hospitality Committee needs a chairperson and a new member immediately.
Wanda Sorrells has been making the coffee and will continue to do so.  We have contributors for the food at today’s meeting  but after that, it will be no treats unless someone volunteers!
Barbara Nelson discussed the Safety Harbor Historical Society Tea.  We only have 6 tickets available.  Please see her for more information.
Ron Altic introduced our master gardeners, Sandy Huff and Barbara Nelson.
They answered all questions from club gardeners and gave good advice.
